London Borough of Culture 2020: Learn about the mile-long street party

As you may know, Brent is going to be the London Borough of Culture in 2020. An exciting programme of events is planned. As part of Brent 2020, on Saturday 11 July 2020, there will be a celebration of the Kilburn High Road, and the incredible stories of the communities from around the world who have travelled along it, with a mile long street party: an all-day street fiesta of art, dance, theatre, film, music and installations.

In order to facilitate this celebration, Kilburn High Road will be closed between Kilburn High Road and Kilburn station.  The Brent 2020 team would like to invite you to an informal meeting for residents and businesses to find out a bit more about the street party and how you can get involved, meet the Brent 2020 Artistic Director Lois Stonock, the Street Party’s Creative Producer Katy Fuller and the Brent 2020 Community Engagement Manager, Titania Altius. The meeting will be taking place on Wednesday 16 October at 6:30pm at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance1B Dyne Road, London NW6 7XG.
