Two new bike hangars proposed

BRAT has been consulted about the introduction of new bike hangars in Callcott and Plympton Roads. (Presumably, some residents in these roads have received relevant information directly.)

Here are the links if you would like to find out more and comment (the closing date for replies for Callcott is 30 June; and for Plympton, 2 July):

BRAT has had a list of proposed sites for bike hangars for some time (available on request from brian@bratnw6.org.uk). It was re-sent to Brent on the last occasion that a new bike hangar was proposed. The two new sites do NOT feature on our list! They have most likely been identified in response to local residents’ requests.

The proposed hangars will reduce car parking spaces in the area when we are technically ‘fully parked’ already; but they have been sensitively located. It seems churlish to oppose them when BRAT is in principle very much in favour of cycling; and at a time when we all hope that the world will stay a little greener. On that basis, we have decided to remind Brent of our preferred sites while supporting these two new ones. (Of course, individual members can respond however they please via the links above.)
