Long time BRAT member, Paul Schulte, along with other members of the local community, met with Ed Miliband before Christmas to discuss the surge in the number of betting shops on the High Road. It is good to see that the Opposition (and it is also understood the Coalition too) seem to be waking up to the fact that the reforms introduced by the Gaming Act 2005 are causing unforeseen problems and must be addressed. As shown below, BRAT continues to object to applications for new licensed premises but change led from the top is what is really needed.
