At the recent BRAT meeting on January 8, 2019, we launched the Willesden Lane Focus Group (WLFG) – a joint initiative between BRAT and BEST to formalise and coordinate local engagement with Brent Council’s efforts to improve footfall, and thus economic development, on Willesden Lane.
It was proposed the WLFG has three areas of focus:
- The “Promise Group”, focussing on the Kilburn High Road “gateway” to Willesden Lane and the Gaumont State Theatre in particular (see also here and here).
- The “Journey Group”, focussing on the experience of walking along the lower end of Willesden Lane – public environment and shop-front presentation in particular.
- The “Destination Group”, focussing on the Paddington Old Cemetery (see also here and here) in particular. We’re looking to link up with the Friends of Paddington Old Cemetery on this.
